The Countdown to Christmas

The stockings are hung, the cookies (and carrots) are waiting, the girls are asleep, the kolach is in the oven, and Chris just poured me a glass of red wine.

Now all we have to do is wait for Santa.

It's my favorite countdown of the season! Merry (almost) Christmas, everyone!

  1. I love it all! The photos are gorgeous. Was just wondering if you received a Xmas card from me? I do hope it arrived in time! If not, Merry Christmas to you, Chris, Katherine and Penelope! Happy Holidays! xoxo

  3. Merry Christmas! You will have to share you Kolach recipe. I grew up with them and my grandmothers made the best. I always liked apricot and poppy seed. Enjoy!

  7. So glad you have the carrots for the reindeer because we forgot. My children were very concerned, but I will tell them that Emily in Japan had plenty of food for all at her house. Merry Christmas!

  10. I've just spent an enjoyable 30 minutes or so perusing your blog. It is lovely and it is fun and it is REAL. Thanks so much for leaving a comment at my place, thus leading me to yours...

(And your daughters are quite quite adorable. The letter to Santa might have been written by my own daughter at that age - the handwriting is so similar :)

Blessings to you and your family, and thank you for your service to those of us living here in the US.
